This is a great slide show to give teachers a sense of the wealth of resources available from the Library of Congress. The Franklin Institute in Philadelphia also has a large collection of documents that can be useful in science classes, mostly correspondence between the museum and famous scientists who were being considered for prestigious prizes that are awarded by the Institute.
